Volunteering Changes Lives

One of the most rewarding experiences that I have ever had was volunteering with Marni Hills and Groom for Good. Meeting amazing people who share the same passion for helping animals is something I will never forget. I encourage anyone who wants to utilize their skills as a groomer, to join us and Groom for Good!

Volunteer Requirements--Read Carefully

Groom for Good volunteers are eager to immerse themselves deep into the unique cultures of the countries we visit.  We learn the language, we try new foods, we participate in the local customs, we respect each other's differences.  We are humble, quietly observe, and generously give our time and our hearts to the people and animals we meet.  We don't discuss our religious or political beliefs.

We don't judge.

We support and encourage each other.

We make lifelong friends!

We welcome people of all ages (over 16) and backgrounds, but if finding the McDonalds, Dominos and Starbucks in a new city is your idea of exploring a new culture- these trips are NOT for you.

Whether this is going to be your first trip outside the country or you feel you are relatively "well traveled" -- it doesn't matter.  What matters is that you do NOT come across as an "ugly American"-- loud, pushy, constantly talking, self-centered and entitled.

If you can accept these guidelines and follow them, please fill out this form and email to groomforgood@gmail.com.  We will then conduct a phone or Skype interview to finalize your position as a potential volunteer for future trips.  Only those who complete both parts will be considered.  We look forward to meeting you!

This is a wonderful video created by Erica Pamatmat, a cousin of one of our volunteers who was inspired hearing of our experience and how many dogs our volunteers helped.
